316Ti is a grade of austenitic stainless steel. It is a derivate of 316 stainless steel with titanium stabilization. This prevents carbide precipitation at the grain boundaries and protects the metal strips from corrosion. The main advantage of 316Ti stainless steel is that it can be held at higher temperatures for a longer period without sensitisation (precipitation) occurring.
As a commonly used stainless steel sheet product, 316Ti stainless steel sheet is manufactured by cold-rolling, flattening, and shearing precision coils, resulting in sheet thicknesses typically under 3mm. Compared to hot rolled stainless steel plate, these cold rolled sheets offer a brighter surface finish, making them suitable for both functional and aesthetic uses.
